This Privacy Policy explains how Shining Hub ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Shining Hub mobile app or website (the "Service"), in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). 1. Information We Collect Account information: your name, phone number, and email address, collected when you register or log in. Address information: saved addresses (emirate, area, street, building, unit) and, where you grant permission, your device's location, used to auto-fill an address on the map or find your nearest service area. Booking information: the services, add-ons, schedule, special instructions, and preferred professional you select for each booking. Payment information: your payments are processed directly by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our servers. We do store your Shining Hub wallet balance, transaction history, and gift card activity. Communications: when we send you a one-time login code or a booking-related email, this is sent via our email provider, Resend. Device information: a push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can notify you about booking updates, and standard technical data such as app version and device type for troubleshooting. 2. How We Use Your Information - To create and manage your account, and verify your identity via OTP. - To process, schedule, and fulfil your bookings, including assigning a service professional. - To process payments, wallet credit, gift cards, and referral rewards. - To send booking confirmations, reminders, and status updates. - To provide customer support and investigate service-quality issues. - To improve the Service and prevent fraud or abuse. 3. Who We Share Your Information With - The service professional assigned to your booking receives your name, service address, and phone number — only what's needed to carry out the service. - Stripe (payment processing), Firebase/Google (push notifications, phone verification), and Resend (transactional email) process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. - We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes. - We may disclose information if required by UAE law or a valid legal request. 4. Your Choices & Rights You can review and update your account details, saved addresses, and notification preferences in the app at any time. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account by contacting us (see below) — we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g. completed transaction records). 5. Location Permission Location access is optional and only used, when granted, to help you pick an address faster on the map. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time from your device settings without losing access to the app — you'll just need to enter your address manually. 6. Data Retention We retain your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after that as required to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. 7. Data Security We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers, and never storing full payment card numbers ourselves. 8. Cookies Our website does not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Only cookies strictly necessary for the site to function may be used. 9. Children The Service is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18 years old. 10. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. 11.
